Himalayan Volunteers (RCDP-Nepal) is a non profit and non governmental volunteer organisation with it's headquarters in Kathmandu. Every year more than 100 international volunteers join our program and return home with everlasting memories and experience for life.

Our volunteer programmes offer a unique opportunity for students and other volunteers to enjoy the amazing beauty of the Himalayas, the nature, the rich culture, and the life in one of the most beautiful countries of the world. Himalayan Volunteers has organised that the majority of its volunteer programmes be located in beautiful valleys and hill covered villages, where volunteers contribute towards the Nepalese community and enjoy a unique opportunity of cross-culture, travel, adventure and explorations.

Himalayan Volunteers : Features

Himalayan Volunteers offers volunteer programmes in diverse areas in collaboration with local partners, therefore volunteers can choose an area of work according to their interest - and no experience required.

Volunteers live and work in natural villages. Therefore, they can familiarise themselves with the local culture, nature, religion, people and the village life of Nepal.

There is no upper age limit (minimum age 18 years)

Volunteers can stay in Nepal 2 weeks to 5 months according to convenience.

Himalayan Volunteers has year round and immediate openings on following volunteer programmes:

*Eco-work Nepal - A unique programmes for conservation volunteers.

*International workcamp.

*Short term and long term volunteer programmes. in many areas.

*English teacher programme.

*Cross Culture/ Home stay.

*Internship programme.

The cost of our volunteer programmes are the most reasonable in Nepal.
Himalayan volunteers offers two week language and cultural program for long term volunteers. This program consists of one week intensive language at Kathmandu followed by one week Village stay at Bhorle of Chitwan Valley. This program combines language, cultural tours of Kathmandu valley, Village Trek, White Water Rafting and Jungle safari at Royal Chitwan National Park.
We also offer cheaper package trekking programmes to our volunteers.
In 2001, more than 200 international volunteers joined our various programmes and have made lasting friendships and a lifetime of memories.
